Cole to Madrid, Kaka to Chelsea

Swap, swap, swap. i cant imagine, its happening also in Fifas world. Thought it will only appear in NBA..

According to a report in italpress, the deal is very much on the cards, with both clubs seeking to bolster their squads for the coming season.

Cole became the most decorated player in FA Cup history when Chelsea lifted the cup last weekend at Wembley and has been an integral part of Carlo Ancelotti's triumphant first season as the Blues coach.

The former Arsenal man had a tumultuous season off the pitch, with his wife, Cheryl Cole, seeking a divorce after Cole's extramarital affairs were brought out to light by the English media.

Kaka on the other hand, has had to play second-fiddle to Cristiano Ronaldo since his summer move from AC Milan, and has failed to reproduce the form that made him a San Siro favourite.

Having paid £56 million for Kaka last summer, the Los Merengues' power players could be tempted to accept the deal and cut their losses as they plan another summer spree in order to have a better chance at the La Liga and Champions League title.

biggest missed dunk ever

oh my, there goes that man!

Look at Kobe's face.. Amazed? or Funny..haha..

This is really just an awesome picture. Yeah, you can kinda tell that he's missing the dunk, but that doesn't even matter. The line from the ball to his foot is amazing. It's like the super-leaningest (totally a word) dunk attempt ever and it looks great.

Too bad Shannon Brown missed. If he hadn't, we'd be talking about one of the best dunks ever.

Villa - new Catalan giant..

Barcelona have confirmed that they have agreed a fee of 40 million euros with Valencia for Spain striker David Villa.

After five seasons in Valencia, The Spain international has long been linked with a move from Los Che.

"The Spanish international is due in Barcelona on Thursday evening and will have a medical on Friday morning.

"Villa will be officially unveiled as a Barca player at 1330 in the Paris Room of the Camp Nou.

"He'll then make an appearance on the Camp Nou pitch. The stadium doors will be opened to the public."

The 28-year-old scored 107 goals in 166 league matches for Valencia after establishing himself with Real Zaragoza.

Villa's arrival is likely to lead to increased speculation over the futures of Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Outgoing president Joan Laporta on Tuesday claimed the club were "satisfied" with the 21-goal contribution of Ibrahimovic in his first season since arriving from Inter Milan last summer.

Henry appears on the verge of a move to Major League Soccer, with Laporta also revealing there was "a lot of interest" in the France forward from the United States.

Villa, top scorer at Euro 2008 despite missing the final through injury, was heavily linked with a move away from the Mestalla last summer to ease Valencia's financial troubles.

He reportedly attracted interest from clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea as well as Barca, but ultimately stayed put and insisted he was happy to do so.

Motta more important than Ribery - Mourinho

Inter and Munich will be missing important players. Inter is without midfielder Thiago Motta and Munich will line up without winger Franck Ribery, both of whom were sent off in the semifinals.

“Motta’s absence is more important than that of Ribery for Munich,” Mourinho said. “He is a player who has played a Champions League final and would bring that experience with him. He gives our midfield balance and doesn’t give the ball away easily. It is a great shame that he isn’t playing and it only happened because a fellow player did not behave in the correct way.”

Both teams have concerns over flight plans to Spain, with the possibility that further volcanic ash from Iceland will cause havoc with flight schedules in the next few days.

Inter was due to fly to Madrid on Friday, but it may yet leave on Wednesday to avoid any possible ash disruption.

a new Wizard of Oz, John Wall..

The NBA’s draft lottery had been reduced to three teams – the New Jersey Nets, Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers – and John Wall, a bundle of emotions for the previous half-hour, suddenly became quiet. He was watching his future unfold on a TV at the home of his agent. Wall’s childhood friend sat to his left, his advisors on the right, his cell phone buzzing incessantly in front of him. Someone started clapping.t’s also big-time for the Wizards. About four months after Gilbert Arenas(notes) was suspended for brandishing guns in the locker room, followed by trades of the franchise’s other two stars, Antawn Jamison(notes) and Caron Butler(notes), Washington suddenly can envision a brighter future after landing the No. 1 pick in the June draft.

Wall’s big day began Tuesday morning with a workout with former NBA assistant coach Jarinn Akana. He went shopping at the Nike Store in the afternoon then returned to Fegan’s home to watch the announcement with friend Ty Williams and advisors Brian and Dwon Clifton. As the lottery approached, Wall stood on a ledge in the backyard performing his famous “John Wall Dance” for a TV camera crew.

Wall stretched his arms high above him. A picturesque view of Los Angeles served as a backdrop. Wall couldn’t be sure where he was headed, but it didn’t matter. Never had his future seemed so clo

Inter-Manchester United a nice final - Figo

Luis Figo wants to see Inter Milan and Manchester United play in the final of the Champions League.
Figo, now serving as the director at Inter Milan was speaking to Inter Channel after the Nerazzurri's 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.
"I think that Inter-Manchester United might be a nice final," he said.
"I believe that Inter have proven they can dominate in Europe too after going past the last 16 barrier, which was something we had not managed over the past few years."
"It was a nice match against CSKA, Inter played fantastically in the second period. It's too bad we didn't score another goal, but it's just as good."
Inter play CSKA in the second leg of the quarter-final in Moscow on Tuesday.

Kobe - "Lakers for Life"

On Friday, the 31-year-old guard signed a three-year extension that will put him in a Lakers uniform through the 2013-14 season.
"My position all along -- and I've mentioned many times -- is that Kobe started as a Laker and he should end his career as a Laker," said Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak before Friday's game against the Jazz.
"We're fairly assured now that he will end his career as a Laker. Now of course in four years he will be 35 years old. Maybe we'll go through this again... but I think at that point in time after all those years if he did choose to play some more it would be here in Los Angeles."
As for the contract, which is reportedly worth $90 million, there were no qualms of shelving out the cash.
"There are very few players you are really excited about when you sign them to long-term contracts and Kobe is one of those players," Kupchak said. "Although you're making a huge commitment, I think it's something you have to do and you're happy to do it and you're glad when it's done. I would say that's how [Lakers owner Jerry Buss] stands today."
With one year left on his current contract, the four-time NBA champion and 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player now joins a core group of Lakers who are now signed through at least the next three seasons.
Pau Gasol, who inked a three-year extension worth up to $64.7 million in December, and Ron Artest are under contract through the 2014 season.
Lamar Odom, who in the offseason signed a four-year deal worth up to $33 million, and Andrew Bynum are locked in through 2013.
During discussions, Kupchak said Lakers coach Phil Jackson's future was "never a factor in the negotiations" in Bryant's extension.
When asked whether he would stay for the duration of the core groups under contract, Jackson laughed and quickly dismissed the idea.
"I'm not going to buy into anything in the three to four years kind of situation," Jackson said. "I just don't think that's in the cards at all. I can look into the season one year at a time right now and feel comfortable with the commitment that I can generate maybe enough energy to get through another year or push the team hard enough as a coach to get done through a year.
"But when you talk about those long-term things there's got to be a change here in the near future."
Bryant is averaging 27.2 points per game (fourth best in the league), 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists in his 14th season. With that kind of mileage, Jackson has continued to be impressed by his play, but does have some advice.
"He needs to actually take a summer off and really respond to the recuperative powers and regenerate that energy again in August next year... he needs a real break," Jackson said. "He is by far one of the hardest working athletes I've been close to and he's done a terrific job to sustain this over the years."

Bryant suffered severe back spasms

Kobe Bryant left the game late in the third quarter and went to the locker room with what a team official termed severe back spasms. It was bad enough that he didn't even attempt a shot while playing all but 38 seconds of the third quarter. Pau Gasol missed his fifth straight game with a hamstring injury.

Los Angeles is 2-3 without Gasol and 8-6 on the road. The Lakers will be on the road again Wednesday at Dallas, and Phil Jackson thinks Gasol won't be back until Friday against the Clippers.

Bryant, who Jackson said will probably play in Dallas, appeared to become lame as early as the first quarter. Despite shooting 7-for-10 in the first half, he looked shaky at times in the open floor.
